Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Lowboy, triaxle, and hooklift trucks on active construction sites and public roads.
  • Load, unload, and secure heavy equipment and materials in compliance with DOT safety standards.
  • Perform daily inspections and fueling; promptly report any mechanical concerns.
  • Collaborate with foremen, customers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate transportation needs.
  • Maintain clean, safe work zones with proper signage and perimeter controls.
  • Assist in daily safety planning and hazard recognition on job sites.
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed to assist with loading/unloading.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and effective communication on all job sites.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, site-specific protocols, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience, specifically with Lowboy and Dump Trucks.
  • Valid Class A CDL with manual transmission endorsement.
  • Proven experience with hydraulic detachable Lowboy trailers.
  • Clean FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse record.
  • Safe driving record (subject to company review).
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of job site and transportation safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
General Abilities
  • Safely operate various trucks and construction equipment.
  • Adjust to evolving schedules and job site needs.
  • Communicate effectively both in the field and with office staff.
  • Read and respond to site conditions with awareness and professionalism.
Physical Demands
  • Lift, move, and secure items weighing over 50 lbs.
  • Climb, bend, stoop, and work at heights or in tight areas as required.
  • Drive for up to 6 hours at a time with focused attention.
  • Work outdoors in variable weather and traffic conditions.

Work Schedule
