Job summary

Red Boot Beverage is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to safely load, transport, and deliver goods between local warehouse locations on a full-time, on-site basis. A valid Class A CDL and DOT drug screen/medical card are required, with at least one year of Class A experience.

You will operate a semi and lift equipment, conduct routine maintenance, and use WMS scanners for inventory accuracy. You will follow GMP and safety protocols, and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Active Class A CDL with valid DOT medical card
  • DOT drug screen and physical will be required
  • Minimum one year of experience operating Class A vehicle
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates a semi (yard spotter), lift trucks, including clamp trucks and cherry pickers, to transport goods to various warehouses.
  • Ensures regular maintenance checkups and keeps a maintenance log
  • Drives safely and adheres to company policies
  • Loads and unloads products from trailers and tracks containers using warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Conducts order picking and shipping and receiving tasks as needed; use scanner guns and print labels for proper identification of incoming and outgoing products.
  • Conducts thorough inspections of the warehouse and lift trucks to identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Maintains a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse environment, adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures and regulations; identify and communicates workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; participates in safety meetings as required.
  • Meets all GMP, SQF, and safety requirements; participate in food and safety meetings.
  • Assists all other departments as directed.

Position Summary

The CDL Truck Driver role is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering raw and finished goods used in beverage production between local warehouse locations.

Employment offers are contingent upon successfully completing all DOT-required testing for a valid Class A CDL license.

First Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Required Qualifications
  • Active Class A CDL License; Motor Vehicle Record Report Required
  • Successfully pass DOT physical and drug screen
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience operating Class A vehicle
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently (bi-lingual a plus)
  • Excellent safety record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift experience; certified or willingness to get certified within thirty (30) days
  • General computer skills: data entry and search features to locate inventory and/or storage location
Work Expectations
  • This is a regular, full-time position with assigned shift located onsite.
  • The ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary.
  • Work is performed in a vehicle and/or warehouse environment, manufacturing plant and occasionally outside in what may be adverse weather conditions.
  • The work environment can involve exposure to heat, cold, humidity, moving machinery, extreme noise, visual strain, confined spaces, fumes, odors, dust mists, and gases.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • This position requires long periods sitting/driving a forklift, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing and operating machinery.
  • The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to up to 50 pounds many times per day.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
