Job summary

Penske Logistics in Litchfield, IL is hiring full-time local Class B delivery drivers. You’ll do multi-stop parts deliveries to automotive dealerships, unload with pallet jacks, and use a handheld scanner. Home daily on a dedicated route with a generous benefits package and a sign-on bonus.

Trucks are late-model and safety-equipped, with in-cab cameras for protection. Required: valid Class B CDL with air brake, DOT medical card, 1 year driving in 5 years, clean DMV record, English proficiency,

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• DOT medical card current or ability to obtain.
• 1 year of documented driving experience in 5 years.
• Clean DMV/MVR record with two or fewer incidents.
• English language proficiency for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of automotive parts to dealerships.
• Unload trailer using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanner to log products as they are unloaded and delivered.
• Complete about 45 delivery stops on a typical route.

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all
• Straight Truck, Manual Pallet Jack, Totes and Caged Auto Parts

What you will do:

• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
• 45 delivery stops

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 11 PM to 10 AM

Qualifications:

• Valid Class B CDL Airbrake endorsement required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented relevant commercial vehicle driving experience in the last 5 years required
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
