Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Regional Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. Expect weekly pay, comprehensive benefits and a standard 40+ hour work week with overtime opportunities.

This role emphasizes safety, vehicle upkeep and customer service while supporting regional deliveries across IN, OH, MI, TN and KY. Drivers receive paid training, a tenure bonus, and a benefits package including medical, dental and vision after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of flatbed experience.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
• Experience with strapping, chaining and tarping.
• Ability to drive regional routes and maintain logs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• 1 year of flatbed experience

• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Tenure Bonus:Pays You $1000 Each Year

• Schedule: Monday – Friday - Must be Flexible

Route & Equipment Details

• Deliver SOLOTo: IN, OH, MI, TN & KY
• Route: Regional
• Tractor Type: Day Cabs and Sleepers - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbeds, Dry Vans, Reefers, Conestogas, Curtainsides and Containers
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:Mix or Touch and No Touch
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
