Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Class A CDL Regional Truck Driver based in Houston, TX. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a structured driving career with opportunities for advancement.

Drivers will operate across TX, OK, AR, LA and surrounding areas, with overtime after 40 hours and per diem pay. Training and endorsements are provided where needed to support end-to-end safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle checks; DOT physical; road test.
• Class A verifiable experience in tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Endorsements required: Doubles and Hazmat.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• $2000 + weekly


• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible


• Paid travel


• Deliver SOLOTo:TX, OK, AR MA, LA and AL


• Required:


• 3 months Flatbed experience


• 6 months Doubles experience


• Doubles and Hazmat endorsements required


• Must have Real ID or Passport.


• Able to fly


• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours


• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night


• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper


• We Reimburse Cost and Provide Training to Obtain Endorsements


• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31

Tractor Type & Trailer Type

• Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleeper - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck


• TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside and Container


• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate and Moffett


• Load Securement – Strapping, Tarping and Chaining

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age


• Pass a Ryder Drug Test


• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years


• Pass a DOT physical


• Pass a Ryder road test


• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position


• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:


• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR


• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR


• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years


• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions


• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
