Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking CDL Class A drivers for local, full-time routes with daily home time. You will perform multi-stop deliveries to automotive dealerships, unload using pallet jacks, and scan items to ensure accurate handoffs. Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required and you must be domiciled in the U.S.
• English language proficiency is required by federal regulations.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• Three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• You must hold or be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs/23kg and operate safely in all driving conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer to deliver parts and supplies to automotive dealerships on local routes.
• Perform multi-stop deliveries and unload using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages.
• Use scanners to verify products during unloading and delivery.
• Maintain safe driving practices and complete required company procedures.

What you will do:

• Work at various dedicated accounts and shifts locally as needed
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
• Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
• Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered

Schedule:

• Dispatch times will vary depending on work assignment
• Home daily

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske-maintained trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
