Job summary

Penske is hiring full-time Home Daily Class A CDL Truck Drivers in the Milwaukee area. Average earnings are around $86,000 per year with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and additional incentives up to $10,400 annually.

Expect dock-to-dock grocery deliveries, unloading, and staging at stores with professional customer interactions. Fridays through Mondays, start times around 9:30 PM, with comprehensive benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, disability, life/AD&D, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• DOT medical card required.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years.
• Clean DMV/MVR with limited violations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products.
• Dock-to-dock deliveries with no pallet breakdowns.
• Unload and stage product in designated store areas.

You will drive:

Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks

Best-in-class specs designed for comfort

Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

Deliver grocery freight to a major grocery chain, including freezer, cooler, and dry products

All deliveries are dock-to-dock with no pallet breakdowns required

Unload and stage product in designated store areas

Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Schedule:

Friday through Monday

9:30 PM start time

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
