Job summary

Penske Logistics in Livonia, MI is hiring immediate full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Drivers operate late-model Penske trucks on a variety of routes with opportunities for overtime and safety bonuses.

You’ll deliver to retail locations, unload with pallet jacks, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package with weekly pay and home daily for many positions. Schedule varies with dispatch times early morning; 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday–Friday in off-peak; 6-day weeks in peak season; 45–55 hours

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence.
• DOT medical card for interstate operation (non-excepted) required.
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Must comply with all federal/state laws and safety regulations.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency required by federal law.

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers

• Average $85000 annually
• Additional earning opportunities including double route pay, layover pay, and monthly safety bonus
• Floater position with a variety of routes and assignments
• Touch freight position delivering products to retail locations

What you will do:

• Support a variety of routes and assignments based on business needs
• Perform multi-stop deliveries of products to retail locations
• Unload trailers using manual pallet jacks and handle dunnage
• Make liftgate deliveries

Schedule:

• Dispatch times vary between 4:00 AM and 10:00 AM depending on work assignment
• Monday through Friday during non-peak season
• 6-day work weeks during peak season
• Approximately 45 to 55 hours worked per week during non-peak season
• Approximately 60 to 65 hours worked per week during peak season

You will drive:

• Late model, Penske-maintained trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety
• Equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to help ensure safety for all
• 48' trailers, 53' trailers, day cabs, sleeper cabs, and dry vans
• Automatic transmission

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
