Penske Logistics in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring CDL Class A Truck Drivers to handle multi-stop tire deliveries. You will unload tires, verify counts, and perform hands-on unloading with safety as a priority. Routes are typically 9–10 hours, 50–55 hours per week, with daily home time for many positions.

• Valid Class A CDL and domiciled in the U.S.
• Non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations or accidents
• English language proficiency is required
• Regular, predictable attendance is essential
• Background check and drug screening required
• DOT safety-sensitive role with safety focus

Responsabilidades

You will drive:

• Late-model Freightliner and Volvo trucks, Penske Truck Leasing trucks
• Best-in-class specs designed for comfort
• Equipped with inward- and outward-facing in-cab cameras, helping to ensure safety for all

What you will do:

• Routes have multi-stop deliveries where drivers are responsible for unloading tires from their trailers
• Drivers are responsible for counting the exact number of tires being delivered to each customer
• Heavy-touch, hand unload of tires
• Some, but not all, deliveries are dock-to-dock

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Routes typically depart between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM
• Depending upon appointments, some routes may require an earlier start time
• Routes average 9 to 10 hours per day
• Hours average 50 to 55 per week
• Non-dedicated routes, with routes changing daily

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
