Job summary

Penske Logistics is hiring CDL Class A truck drivers in the US-MA area. All drivers will be home daily, with five 8-hour shifts per week and a Monday-Sunday schedule. You’ll deliver medical supplies to hospitals and clinics, unload trailers, and maintain a professional demeanor with customers while operating Penske equipment.

Union location with comprehensive benefits. Earn $36.76 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours; average annual pay ranges from $80,000 to $90,000.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate card
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with <= 2 moving violations or accidents
• English proficiency required by federal law (DOT)

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Deliver medical supplies needed to provide patient care to hospitals, clinics, and surgical centers

Deliver and handle hospital carts and medical supplies

Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers

Unload trailer using electric/manual pallet jacks, hand carts, hospital carts, plastic totes, and lift gates

Cover different routes and assignments

Schedule:

Monday through Sunday operation

Five 8-hour shifts per week

Two consecutive days off

Dispatch times between 8:00 PM and 9:00 AM

You will drive:

Late model, Penske maintained trucks

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence

Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required

1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years

3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents

Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.

Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
