Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class B CDL Truck Driver for a local Wilmington, MA route. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and hands-on training. You will drive 40+ hours per week on local routes, with a start time in the early morning and a Monday–Friday schedule.

The position requires Hazmat endorsements within 90 days of hire, a valid CDL, and compliance with safety and training programs. Ryder provides 24/7 roadside support and has extensive nationwide locations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A or Class B CDL with endorsements as required by position.
• Minimum 9 months experience in the past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regs, and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight as needed by customer.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $28.56 Per Hour
• $3500 in Bonuses within the 1st Year
• Hours Per Week: 40 or more hours per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start Time: Between 4:30 AM - 6:00 AM

• Tractor Type: 26' Straight truck
• Equipment: Lift gate, pallet jack and hand truck

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
