Job summary

Ryder System in Richmond, CA is hiring a dedicated SOLO Class B CDL Driver for local, home daily routes. Hourly pay starts at $29.32 with 50+ hours per week and a schedule that includes Tue–Fri with some Saturdays.

Training is provided, and drivers are paid weekly with generous benefits and paid time off. Eligible drivers will operate straight trucks with reefer trailers in a local area, delivering beverages to destinations around the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

Hours Per Week: 50 or more hours per week

Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1613 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly.

Paid Training

Schedule: Tuesday - Friday (Some Saturdays mandatory)

Start Time: 5:00 AM

Deliver SOLO To: Gilroy, Bay Area, Redding & Lake Tahoe

Route: Local Home Daily

Tractor Type: Straight Truck

Trailer Type: Reefer, 16', 24' & 26'

Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Hand Truck & Lift Gate

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight: Touch – Beverages

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.
