Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Yard Driver in Beaumont, TX. This local yard role avoids deliveries and offers a 4 on/4 off schedule with a 42+ hour work week and weekly pay. You’ll operate well-maintained tractors, participate in safety trainings, and earn benefits after 30 days.

The job emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and accurate records. Candidates should have Class A experience, pass drug/background tests, and obtain necessary endorsements for the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maneuver tractor trailers on the yard and on public roads.
• Comply with safety and DOT regulations, and participate in continuous training and customer service.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 42 + hours per week average
• Paid Training
• Safety Bonus: Quarterly bonus $250.00
• Schedule: 4 day work week, 4 on 4 off
• Start Time: AM & PM shift rotates

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads
