The role includes Southeast routes, 45+ hours weekly, and hourly pay of $25 with a $50 per night out. Training is provided and safety is prioritized. Candidates must have a valid Class A CDL, endorsements, and pass drug, background and DOT tests.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test, a Background and Motor Vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solo to FL, GA, AL.
• Operate Day Cab/Sleeper; manual transmission.
• Work with 26' box truck, 53' dry van, or flatbed trailers.
• Handle general freight with some touch freight.
• Maintain safety records and logs; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with loading/unloading if required; perform other duties as assigned.

• Pay Period: Paid Every Week
• Hourly Pay: $25.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 45+ Hours per Week
• Per Diem: $50.00 per night out
• Accounts: Servicing different accounts
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; Occasional Weekends
• Shift: AM some weeks / PM some weeks depending on account

• Tractor Type: Day Cab / Sleeper Must be able to drive manual
• Trailer Type: 26' Box Truck, 53' Dry van, Flatbed
• Freight: Touch & No Touch- General Freight
• Equipment: Forklift, Pallet Jack, Moffett
• Paid Training
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
