Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Goddard, KS is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Earn weekly pay with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for bonuses. This Regular-Full time role offers home time regionally and a 5-day work week with two consecutive days off.

Base pay starts at $1,650 per week with additional pay for miles, stops, and bonuses. Requires 9 months to 5 years of Class A experience and passing Ryder and DOT checks. Training is provided and driver safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test and background check including MVR for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as needed per customer requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.59 per (Mon -Fri) Mile with 1600 - 1800 miles per week
• Weekend Premium Pay:$0.65 per mile when working Saturday or Sunday
• Weekend Premium Pay: $0.70 per mile when working both Saturday and Sunday
• Solo Stops Pay:$25.00 per Stop with 8 - 10 stops per week
• Sign-on Bonus: $1100 at 30 days and $1100 at 90 days
• Loyalty Bonus: $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year
• Safety Bonus: Up to $300 a Quarter
• Paid Training
• Start Time: Mainly late afternoon to late night dispatch times
• 24/7 operations — 5 Day work week with 2 consecutive days off

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physicalPass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
