Ryder System, Inc. in Pearl River, LA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to deliver groceries within a regional 500‑mile radius, home daily with a 6‑day work week and one full day off.

Starting pay is at least $1,400 per week, with additional earnings from solo miles (avg $0.62), stops ($24/stop), per diem ($50/night), and quarterly safety bonuses. Paid training, benefits after 30 days, and 401(k) with company match are included.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background, and motor vehicle checks.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Assist with loading/unloading freight when required by customer.

• Solo Stops Pay:$24.00 per Stop with 2 - 4 Stops per Day
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night with 1 night out per Week possibly
• Safety Bonus:Pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter
• Paid Training
• Schedule: 6 - day work week with 1 full day off during the week; Drivers work weekends & holidays
• Start Time: Dispatch is between 9:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
