Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Gainesville, FL to join a weekly-pay, benefits-enabled driver team. You will operate a 53' dry van on a regional route with touch freight, handling clothes and related goods, while following safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires valid CDL A, endorsements, and a DOT-compliant record. Full-time position with benefits, paid training, and opportunities for growth within a supportive logistics network.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Pay Information

$1200 - $1500 or more per week - And it gets better

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.54 per Mile with 2000 Miles per Week
• Stops Pay: $24.00 per stop 5 - 12 stops a week
• Per Diem Pay: $66.00 per night with 2 - 3 nights per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: 7 Day Operation - 34 hr reset either Fri & Sat or Sat & Sun
• Dispatch Window: 1:00 AM - 11:00 PM - Depending on route

• Deliver SOLOTo:FL, GA, AL, TN, LA, SC
• Route: Regional
• Tractor Type: 2018 - 2021 International Sleepers
• TrailerType:53' Dry Van and 28' Pups
• Endorsement: Doubles - will have 45 to get on CDL
• Freight: Touch - Clothes

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
