Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Work schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM with two consecutive days off. You will deliver to TX, LA, MS, AR, OK with 48'–53' dry vans, manual transmission, and touch freight. Hazmat endorsement is required; paid training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 OR 5 years in last 10.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting when required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• $5000 loyalty bonus paid out over 6 months with the first payment at 30 days
• Up to $1923 weekly average
• Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday with 2 consecutive days off each week
