Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Wooster, OH is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Expect to drive regional routes with day cab or sleeper tractors, 50–60 hours weekly, and paid training.

You’ll deliver steel freight to OH, NY, PA, IN, KY, IL, MI, MD mostly day trips with no NYC runs. Shift is Monday–Friday, 4:00 am–2:00 pm, with 50–60 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and endorsements.
• Ability to pass a Ryder drug test and DOT physical.
• Experience meeting Ryder background and motor vehicle checks for the last 3 years.
• Must be able to pass Ryder road test and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies.
• Detect and mitigate safety hazards and maintain logs.
• Load/unload freight as required by the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Wooster, OH — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Compensation

Pay starts at $1600 or more per week.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours per Week: 50‑60 hours
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.54 per mile with 2200 miles per week
• Ryder Paid Hotel if In Day Cab
• Solo Stops Pay: $26.33 per stop with 12 stops per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, NO WEEKENDS
• Dispatch Time: 4:00 am – 2:00 pm

• Deliver SOLOTo: Deliveries to OH, NY, PA, IN, KY, IL, MI, MD (no NYC runs)
• Route: Regional

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  1. 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  2. 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  3. 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performing other duties as assigned
