Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and a stable driving career.

Your schedule is Sunday through Friday with early start times, regional routes, and 53' dry van tractors. You will join a safety‑minded team with ample support and on‑site resources.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Experience required: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting as required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:avg. $0.545 with 1800 - 2000 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$31.00 per Stop with 8 - 10 Stops per Day
• Per Diem Pay: $52.00 per night with 2 - 3 night out per Week
• Sign On Bonus: Pays out $1500 at 30 days and Pays our $1500 at 90 days
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday - Friday
• Start: 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
