Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lansing, MI is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver. Expect weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and a driving career with opportunities for endorsements and perk-pay.

Position includes regional routes, 40+ hours per week, and a tenure bonus; training is provided, with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday. Safety and compliance are emphasized throughout daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle with 9 months–5 years depending on window.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidelines.
• Detect and minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Earn extra $1/hour for every 3 endorsements/certifications
• Per Diem Pay: $50 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Tenure Bonus:Pays You $1000 Each Year

• Deliver SOLOTo: IN, OH, MI, TN & KY
• Route: Regional
• Tractor Type: Day Cabs and Sleepers - Possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• TrailerType:48' - 53' Flatbeds, Dry Vans, Reefers, Conestogas, Curtainsides and Container
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate, rollers or Moffett
• Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight:Mix or Touch and No Touch
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples Endorsements required
• Experience with strapping, chaining & tarping
