Benefits & Compensation

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $27.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40+ hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Sign On Bonus: $250 at 30 days and $250 at 90 days
• Tenure Bonus: $1000 each year from Nov. 1 to Oct. 31
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Equipment & Routes

Trucks are three years or newer. Ryder Drivers Service the Route, not the Truck. All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities.

• Deliver SOLO to: VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NYC, DC
• Tractor Type: Day Cab and Sleeper, possibility of 26' Straight Truck
• Trailer Type: 48'-53' Flatbed, Dry Van, Reefer, Conestoga, Curtainside, and Container (6 months flatbed experience required)
• Endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker & Doubles/Triples required
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack, Rollers, Lift Gate, Moffett
• Freight: Mix of Touch/No Touch – Product varies
• Load Securement: Strapping, Tarping, Chaining experience required

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide valid CDL and endorsements
• Class A experience: 9 months in last 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret laws and regulations

• Load/unload freight or assist as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
