Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Gilberts, IL. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and a home-on-weekends schedule.

You will drive Sleeper tractors and handle Dry Van/Conestoga freight with touch-loading. Sign-on bonus and paid training are available. Responsibilities include safe operation of well-maintained trucks, adherence to DOT and company policies, and delivering freight across assigned routes with a focus on safety and customer

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check (last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide valid CDL and endorsements
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle (9 months/2 years/5 years options)
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.60 per Mile with 1800+ Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$24.00 per Stop with 20+ Stops per Week
• Per Diem Pay: $51.50 per night with 4 nights per Week
• Sign On Bonus:$3000 Pays you $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
