Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver for local routes in LaGrange, GA. You will drive day-to-day shuttle runs, with a 12-hour night schedule and a weekly pay cycle. The role emphasizes safety and compliance while offering a path to benefits and retirement plans.

The position includes no-touch auto parts freight, paid training, uniforms, boot and phone allowances, and PTO from day one, with a 401(k) match after one year of service.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 or 5 years in the last 10.
• Must pass Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle checks including drug/alcohol verification.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations and safety guidelines.
• Monitor and maintain accurate logs and records.
• Load/unload freight as required by customer or company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $24.72 Per Hour
• Shift Pay: $0.50 Per Hour
• Hours Per Week: 53 + hours per week
• Safety Bonus: Pays $250 Four times a Year

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
