Job summary

Ryder in York, PA is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our local, home-daily routes with daytime starts and a weekly pay structure. You’ll drive day cab and flatbed equipment, with paid training and a strong benefits package from day one.

You’ll operate reliable trucks, adhere to safety rules, complete logs, and participate in ongoing training. We offer paid time off, a 401(k) with company match, uniforms, boot allowance, and family-friendly leave options where eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards; maintaining accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay:$0.58 per Mile with 1200 Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay:$15.33 per Stop with 25 Stops per Week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional Saturdays
• Start Time: 4:00 AM - 9:00 AM; Dispatch8-10 hr days

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
