Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a local shuttle route in West Chicago, IL. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits after 30 days, and 40+ hours per week with a consistent start time.

Enjoy paid training, a Monday–Friday schedule, and home daily driving. You will operate 36 months or newer tractors with 53' dry vans on no-touch freight, with 800+ nationwide maintenance locations for support.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must pass a Ryder drug test.
• Background and motor vehicle check for last 3 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must pass Ryder road test.
• Provide valid CDL and endorsements for the position.
• 9 months experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 or 5 years in last 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
