Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain your own flatbed truck to transport various types of cargo, includingbut not limited to construction materials, equipment, and machinery.
• Ensure safe loading, securement, and unloading of cargo according to industry standards andcompany guidelines.
• Plan and execute efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including DOT and FMCSAguidelines.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and report any maintenance orrepair needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinatepickup and delivery details.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods in a timely and professionalmanner.
• Uphold high standards of safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment(PPE) when required.
• Manage and track expenses related to truck maintenance, fuel, tolls, and other operationalcosts.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for operating a flatbedtrailer.
• Proven experience as an owner operator flatbed driver, demonstrating a safe and reliabledriving record.
• Proficient knowledge of flatbed trucking operations, securement techniques, and loaddistribution.
• Ability to operate flatbed trailers, including step decks.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance requirements.
• Excellent navigation and route planning skills, utilizing GPS and paper maps as needed.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations withprofessionalism and efficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers,dispatchers, and team members.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading andunloading cargo and securing loads.
• High level of responsibility, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
• Business acumen and financial responsibility to manage operational costs and ensureprofitability as an owner operator.
