Job summary

gpac is seeking an ASL Truck Driver to safely operate an Automated Side Loader on assigned routes, serving residential and commercial customers. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, handle waste, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle while upholding DOT regulations.

The role requires dependable, safety-focused drivers with ASL or related experience, CDL if required, and a strong emphasis on professional customer service and compliance with transport policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with ASL or side-loader trucks or waste management industry.
• Valid driver's license and CDL if required for the vehicle.
• Pass drug, alcohol, background screen, and MVR.
• Safe driving record and strong safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an Automated Side Loader (ASL) waste collection truck on assigned routes.
• Collect and transport waste, refuse, and recyclable materials.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate hydraulic and automated side-loading equipment.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and company procedures.
• Position the truck and service waste containers safely and properly.
• Report mechanical issues, equipment damage, and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Complete required logs, inspection reports, and paperwork.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service.
• Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding route or equipment issues.
• Attend required safety meetings and training.
• Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

• Safely operate hydraulic and automated side-loading equipment.

• Properly position the truck and safely service waste containers.

• Complete and pass a drug, alcohol, background screen, and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Have a safe driving record and strong safety awareness.
• Be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Communicate effectively in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to work outdoors and perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
