Wesco in Grapevine, TX is hiring a non-CDL Truck Driver to learn distribution and supply chain practices valued by Fortune 250 companies. The role runs Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m.

– 8:00 a.m., with responsibilities including cargo transport, documentation, and dispatch coordination. You'll gain experience in loading, securing, and unloading cargo, maintaining regulatory records, and performing basic on-site repairs.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to load, secure, verify and unload cargo.
• Maintain records in accordance with regulations.
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

A Day in The Life of a Truck Driver

As a Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service.

• * Must have a \"satisfactory\" driving record.


• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo


• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instruction for delivery or pick up


• Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers


• Maintain records in accordance with regulations


• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc,


• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded

Education & Experience

• Valid Driver's License, with a satisfactory driving record required


• 2 years of truck driving experience required


• Must be 21 years of age or older
