Job Description: A Dump Truck Driver transports materials like dirt, gravel and construction debris to and from jobsites. They operate heavy-duty trucks ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Driving dump trucks to and from job sites, transporting various materials like dirt, gravel, construction debris and/or waste materials.
• Loading and unloading materials, safely securing loads for transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of loads delivered.
• Perform and maintain daily routine checks / logs on dump trucks such as checking fluids and tire pressure and reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance department.
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized manner.
• Communicate with dispatchers and field personnel for pick-ups and deliveries.
• Cooperating with other equipment operators and construction personnel at the job site.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading techniques to avoid damage to the truck and the surrounding environment.
• Operate the truck safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• May need to occasionally lift and help clear areas at jobsite when needed.
• Exhibit "defensive" driver skills
• Report any incidents, accidents, injuries or mechanical failures to management in a timely manner.
