Job summary

Alcalde Inc. is seeking a skilled truck driver to join our team in the San Diego area. This part-time to full-time role focuses on reliable local runs and timely freight delivery.

Responsibilities include operating Class A trucks, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, logging miles and hours, and staying in close contact with dispatch. Shifts are 6–7 hours, Monday through Friday, home daily in San Diego, Oceanside and Rialto.

Qualifications

• CDL A is required and a clean driving record is essential.
• Experience with local runs and no-touch freight is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive Class A trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport freight to designated locations while obeying traffic laws.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, hours, and mileage.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules.
• Local runs with home daily (San Diego, Oceanside, Rialto).
• Run schedules Monday–Friday.
• 6–7 hour shifts.
• No touch freight/Drop and Hook only.

We are currently seeking a skilled part-time to full time Truck Driver position to join our team at Alcalde Inc. This position is vital to our operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight while upholding our reputation for excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive Class A trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules.
• Local runs- Home daily - San Diego, CA - Oceanside, CA - Rialto, CA
• Run schedules Monday-Friday
• 6-7 hour shifts.
• No touch freight/ Only Drop and Hook is required

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
• Proven 1 year + experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and flatbeds.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Familiarity with GPS systems, and Automatic Vehicle Location technology
• Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations
• Clean driving record

License/Certification
