Job summary

Taylor Forge Engineered systems, Inc. in Paola, KS is seeking a Truck Driver to transport goods within the plant and to other locations as needed.

You will ensure loads are secured, complete paperwork, and follow all safety rules while supporting production operations. The role requires a valid KS CDL Class A, a clean driving record, at least 12 months of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• KS Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
• No Serious Traffic Violations.
• Twelve months minimum of job related experience.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. up to waist.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods using company vehicle(s).
• Ensure all pertinent paperwork is correct and complete.
• Ensure loads are secure and safe for transport.
• Inspect vehicles and trailer before and after every trip and report defects.
• Assist in loading and unloading of materials, products, and equipment.
• Deliver goods to the proper location as directed by Production Control or other management personnel.
• Report abnormal conditions of equipment to a Supervisor or the Plant Manager.
• Identify the need for routine maintenance to the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for transporting goods from one place to another using the company tractor-trailerand/or other company vehicles. Facilitates the flow of materials to and from the variousdepartments/plants as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Transporting of goods from place to place with company vehicle(s).
• Ensures all pertinent paperwork is correct and complete.
• Ensures all loads are secure and safe for transport.
• Inspects vehicles and trailer before and after every trip and report defects immediately uponidentification.
• Assists in the loading and unloading of materials, products, and equipment.
• Delivers goods to the proper location as directed by Production Control or other managementpersonnel.
• Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to a Supervisor or the Plant Manager.
• Responsible for identifying the need for routine maintenance to the Maintenance Supervisor orPlant Manager.
• Follows all applicable traffic laws.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works in a safe and secure manner and complies with all safety rules and procedures.
• Fills vehicles up on fuel and cleans truck & associated equipment.
• Reports any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitors road conditions.
• Operates jib cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment (except heavy cranes) for the movingof material, components, and equipment from location to location within the plant. Occasionallyoperates overhead cranes and tow motors in support of small moves to continue production within thedepartments.
• Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and unloading of trucks andrailcars, bricking furnace).
• Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant as required (i.e.pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep).
