Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is seeking an experienced full-time Truck Driver in Norco, LA. You will load/unload cargo, record deliveries, and drive long distances while maintaining safety and compliance with traffic laws.

A strong emphasis is placed on equipment inspection, log keeping, and reporting any mechanical issues. Applicants must possess a current state issued Class A CDL and have at least 3 years of commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state issued Class A CDL Driver's License.
• 3 years of commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Take orders for new deliveries and drive long distances.
• Fill up on fuel, clean truck, and wash windows.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of their activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.

Summary

Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience. You must be able to pass a background check and drug test. All candidates will perform a skills verification test on site before hire.

• Ability to work at heights and use all PPE required for fall protection correctly.
• Ability to employ physiological movements and actions associated with heavy work.
• Bending, stooping, lifting, seeing hearing, walking, ability to lift 75 lbs., twisting, crawling, climbing, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing.
• Eyesight sufficient for operating a motor vehicle, inspection of equipment, and completion paperwork.
• Hearing sufficient for telephone contact and interpersonal communication with Customers and coworkers.
• Other duties as assigned
