Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great Truck Driver position available in Monroe, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting long-distance routes and customer interactions.

The role requires a High School diploma, a valid CDL-B, and at least two years of driving experience. You will coordinate with dispatchers, document hours, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid CDL-B License.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience.
  • Able to safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment.
  • Comply with DOT Driver regulations.
  • Must pass QPS and client screening process.

Responsibilities

  • Long-distance driving.

  • Securing cargo and balancing it within the vehicle.
  • Maintain hours logs per state and federal regulations.
  • Perform daily vehicle maintenance and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • Load/unload with forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Interact with customers professionally.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

Job description

Position Title: Truck Driver Salary: $44,304-$57,200 per year

QPS Employment Group has a great Truck Driver position available at a company in Monroe, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Truck Driver Responsibilities
  • Long-distance driving.
  • Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers.
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle.
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
  • Complying with truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Reporting defects, accidents and violations.
  • Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.).
  • Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner.
  • Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports.
  • Recording cargo deliveries.
  • Verifying loads for accuracy.
  • All other assigned duties as required.
Truck Driver Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Valid CDL-B License.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience.
  • Ability to safely inspect and operate trucks and equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of safe highway practices and motor vehicle regulations; comply with all DOT Driver regulations.
  • Must pass QPS and client screening process.
  • Use of smartphone, laptop, and tablet technology.
  • Reliable and timely individual.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all partners.
  • Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility.
  • Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements.
  • Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection.
  • Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Able to work a multi shift environment.
  • Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities.
  • Exposed to cold/ heat/ humidity.
