Job summary

R&W Electric Co. is seeking a CDL Class A driver to transport equipment to job sites within roughly 300 miles of Meridian, MS. A clean driving record and the ability to stay overnight when required are essential. The role involves loading, unloading, and securing equipment, with hotel stay and meal allowances provided as needed.

Applicants should be able to pass the CDL medical/physical exam and meet safety standards. Prior experience with moving heavy equipment is a plus.

• Physically capable of loading/unloading and securing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CDL Class A vehicle to move equipment to job sites.
• Load and secure loads, and unload equipment at sites as required.
• Be willing to overnight travel for deliveries or moves.
• Comply with CDL medical/physical requirements and safety policies.

Job description

• Applicant must possess a clean driving record, with no DUIs, DWIs, reckless driving charges on their record in the last 10 years.
• Applicant must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A and be willing to make day trips to jobsites, usually within 300 miles Meridian, MS
• Applicant must be willing to remain overnight (in hotel provided by employer, with meal allowance) if needed to effect delivery or move equipment on jobsite.
• Applicant must be physically able to load and unload equipment, bind the equipment down and off load equipment or materials at jobsites.
• Applicant must be able to pass CDL physical as required as a condition of employment.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

• Have had a CDL without any violations or tickets for the last 3-years
• Applicants who have 2-years of more of documentable experience moving heavy equipment (track hoes, back hoes, 40 CONEX containers etc.)
• Worked in a directly relatable position with a known or similar construction company.
