Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related experience delivering in construction supply.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Ability to understand packing lists and delivery tickets.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• CDL (Department of Transportation Certified Commercial Driver's License).
• Ability to pass Federal DOT drug screen and physical.
• Valid DOT Health Registration Card.
• Maintains driving record per Federal/State regulations; meets company policy.
• Must be certified to operate forklift and skid loader.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and pickups in a timely, safe manner.
• Operate in yard when not making deliveries.
• Ensure loads are secured before leaving.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections per DOT requirements.
• Resolve customer problems promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Sales staff to fulfill orders.
• Assist with unloading/loading trucks as needed.
• Check in incoming stock from POs.
• Keep yard clean, safe and organized.
• Ensure orders are paid for before departure.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

What You'll Do

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up product in a timely and efficient manner. This position is also responsible for working in the yard when not making deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
• Focus on performing deliveries and pickups in a safe manner.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Follow all procedures to completely secure loads before leaving on a delivery.
• Perform and record daily equipment inspections as required by D.O.T. standards for pre-trip and post trip.
• Solve customer problems and complaints in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Involve management when needed.
• Work closely with all TCC Materials Sales personnel to facilitate a timely and accurate customer order-fulfillment process.
• Assist with unloading/loading trucks when needed.
• Check in incoming stock off the purchase order.
• Assist with keeping the yard clean, safe, and organized.
• Ensure that all orders are paid for before leaving the yard
• Complete all other assigned tasks given by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• One to two years related experience delivering in the construction supply business.
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
• Read, write and speak English
• Must be able to understand packing lists and delivery tickets.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Valid Department of Transportation Certified Commercial Driver's License.
• Ability to pass Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical

• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier Regulations, and meet company policy requirements.
• Must be certified to operate a forklift and skid loader.

Pay

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
