Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp is seeking a dedicated driver to operate a heavy-duty truck, pick up donations, and support thrift-store operations in Florida. The role requires adherence to safety standards and state regulations while maintaining accurate donation receipts.

Responsibilities include transporting donations to appropriate centers, performing routine vehicle maintenance, and assisting in store/warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• One year experience driving a heavy-duty truck or large van.
• Valid State Driver's License with CDL endorsement, if required.

Responsibilities

• Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick up donations and merchandise.
• Drives to dump and recycling centers to dispose of non-useable donations.
• Performs vehicle maintenance and ensures the truck meets maintenance standards.
• Prepares donation receipts for customers.
• Assists in thrift store and warehouse as needed.
