Job summary

Eastside Bulk, Inc. is seeking a full-time on-site Truck Driver based in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. You will safely operate academy trucks, perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, load and unload, and secure cargo while following routes and schedules.

Job description

This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating academy trucks to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from various locations. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading goods, securing cargo, and following assigned delivery routes and schedules.

The role involves complying with all applicable DOT regulations, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with supervisors and staff regarding pickups, deliveries, and any issues on the road. The Truck Driver will also help keep vehicles clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary safety equipment, while representing the academy professionally in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills, including experience with Truck operation and safe maneuvering in varied conditions.
• Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and familiarity with relevant commercial driving requirements.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT Regulations and adherence to safety and compliance standards, including hours-of-service and inspection rules.
• Candidates should possess practical skills in Loading and Unloading, including safe lifting practices and proper cargo securing.
• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the ability to follow routes and schedules effectively.
• Ability to work on-site in Lake Hopatcong, NJ, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a professional and courteous approach to staff, students, and partners.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience as a commercial or institutional Truck Driver is beneficial.
