Job summary

Gibraltar Building Products is seeking a skilled Truck Driver in Feasterville, PA to deliver building materials to customers and job sites. You will operate company trucks, perform inspections, and keep accurate delivery records while meeting safety standards.

We require a Class A CDL with 53' trailer experience, at least 1 year of commercial driving, and knowledge of DOT regulations. Home each night with no OT and benefits after probation are offered.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required with 53' trailer experience; automatic transmission preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience; flatbed/building materials delivery a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT safety and hours-of-service regulations; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to deliver materials to customers, job sites, and distribution points.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Verify shipping documents and secure loads within weight and safety limits.
• Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain delivery records and communicate updates to dispatch.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Keep vehicle clean and report maintenance needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned straight trucks and tractor–trailers to deliver materials to customers, job sites, and distribution points in a safe and timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any defects, damage, or required maintenance in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy.
• Verify accuracy of shipping documents, materials, and quantities before departure; ensure load is properly secured and complies with weight and safety limits.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight, including the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, straps, and other load-handling equipment as needed.
• Safely handle and deliver sheet metal, gutters, coils, and other building products without damage to materials or equipment.
• Obtain customer signatures on delivery documents and maintain accurate delivery records and logs.
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, or incidents promptly to dispatch or supervisor.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws as well as company safety and driving policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic condition of assigned vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow site safety procedures while operating in yards, warehouses, or customer locations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting warehouse staff when not driving.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds frequently and handle materials manually or with load-assist devices.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing in and out of trucks.
• Ability to secure loads with straps, chains, or tarps and to maneuver heavy or irregularly shaped materials safely.
• Must be able to operate commercial vehicles for extended periods, including sitting for several hours and performing repetitive hand and foot motions.
• Requires sufficient hand-eye coordination and vision to safely operate vehicles and equipment.

Environmental Conditions

• Work performed primarily outdoors and in warehouse or yard environments, subject to exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Regular exposure to dust, noise, and metal materials consistent with an industrial environment.
• Must be able to operate safely around forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL; 53" trailer experience with automatic transmission (standard transmission experience preferred)
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience preferred; experience with flatbed or building materials delivery a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT safety and hours-of-service regulations.
• Ability to work independently and interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Full Time On-Site
• Monday- Friday- No OT requirements, home each night.
• Please note competitive flat hourly rate for time worked.
