Job summary

EASE LOGISTICS SERVICES LLC is seeking an experienced CDL driver to operate at the CMH Dublin terminal. You will transport materials, verify loads, and prepare receipts while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.

The role requires 2 years of CDL driving experience, valid Class A or B CDL, clean MVR/PSP, and the ability to pass background, drug screen, and driving tests. Flexible shifts and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A or B) and at least 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current MVR and PSP with a safe driving history.
• Willingness to pass background check, drug screen and driving tests.
• Able to work maximum hours under DOT Hours of Service and various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Company policies, local work and safety rules and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Receive and verify dispatch instructions properly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor and trailer.
• May maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Maintain contact with dispatch for delivery instructions and updates.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs as needed to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Communicate safety issues and delays to supervision; report accidents.
• Prepare, inspect, and clean trailer before loading freight; count pieces.
• Review freight bills and check manifests for exceptions and special instructions.
• Ensure cargo is secured and weight is distributed correctly before movement.
• Participate in safety training programs and maintain hazardous materials training.

Summary: Drive truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations. Verify load against shipping papers. Drive truck to specified destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area. Prepare receipt for load picked up.

Essential Duties

• Comply with all Company policies, local work and safety rules and federal, state, and local regulations that govern the industry.
• Receive and verify dispatch instructions properly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Inspect the operating condition of the tractor and trailer before and after trip, and when stopped in route.
• May maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• May maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive delivery instructions.
• May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, and tire chains.
• Communicate with supervision to receive instructions, report delays or safety hazards, and report accidents involving the driver or Company equipment.
• Prepare, inspect, and clean trailer before loading freight.
• Count all pieces of freight in loading and unloading.
• Review freight bills for special instructions. Check manifests for existing exceptions.
• When freight is loaded, check for special instructions, weight distributions on headloads and check headloads against the freight bills.
• Inspect the condition of freight and notify supervisors of any damaged freight.
• Ensure equipment and/or cargo is secured before movement.
• Participate in training programs; maintain and update safety skills and knowledge; keep current with hazardous material training requirements.
• Perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the Company and the industry.
• Is comfortable working 1st or 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or older.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL or Class B CDL.
• Must have 2 years of CDL driving experience.
• Must have a current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) that represents a history of safe and competent driving.
• Must pass an employment record, criminal background check, drug screen, physical performance test, and driving test on company equipment.
• Must be able to work the maximum hours allowed under D.O.T. Hours of Service Regulations on various shifts/days of the week, while maintaining outstanding safety and attendance.
• Must be medically qualified to operate in interstate commerce
