Job summary

McCain Foods USA, Inc. is seeking a Truck Driver for the 3rd shift in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role focuses on safe, timely movement of materials using McCain-owned equipment, with duties including inspections, trailer moves, and required paperwork.

The position requires a Class A CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of truck driving experience, preferably in manufacturing. Shift is 10PM–6AM with differential, and benefits begin day one.

  • Complete trailer moves safely and efficiently, following SOPs and plant guidelines.
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain policies.
  • Obtain certification for yard driver procedures and safety requirements.
  • Provide backup support to the Line Support team and perform other duties as assigned.

About The Role
What you’ll be doing
Responsibilities

The Truck Driver’s primary responsibility is to ensure the timely and safe movement of materials (raw & finished) using McCain owned/leased equipment to include shipments to Americold. Responsibilities also include conducting safety inspections on the tractors and trailers, yard checks, and cleaning of equipment (tractor/trailers). Other responsibilities include working in other areas of the warehouse when not driving. Your day-to-day may consist of:

  • Inspect all trucks and trailers for safety, cleanliness, and proper temperature settings for refrigerated trailers.
  • Safely and efficiently complete trailer moves, following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, USDA, OSHA, and plant guidelines.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and adhere to departmental policies.
  • Successfully complete certification demonstrating knowledge of yard driver procedures, safety requirements, and job expectations.
  • Provide backup support to the Line Support team and perform other assigned duties as needed.

This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.

Shift Available: 3rd Shift (10PM-6AM) Monday-Friday, shift differential offered.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of truck driving experience required, preferably for a manufacturing facility.
  • Basic knowledge of warehousing practices and procedures.
  • Class A CDL in good standing and a medical certificate card required.
  • Maintains a continuous learning mindset and adapts quickly to new equipment, processes, and roles.
  • Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.
  • Communicates clearly with all levels of the organization, follows instructions (written/oral/diagram form), and completes necessary documentation independently in English.
  • Pays close attention to detail, prioritizing product quality, safety, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Physically capable of meeting job requirements and consistently brings a positive, team-focused attitude to work.

Compensation Package

: - Starting at 32.58 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
