Penske in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to lead truck and trailer collision repairs using advanced diagnostic equipment and cutting-edge techniques. You’ll repair body and frame components, work on cab/sheet metal, fiberglass, welding, and paint prep, ensuring high-quality results.

Qualifications include 6 years of practical experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with shop tools.

Qualifications

• 6 years practical experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• Specialized repair/refinish experience for trucks/trailers required.
• Proficient with welding, paint equipment, shop machines and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills required.
• Compliance with DOT/OSHA safety policies and company rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of Truck Collision Repair and maintenance services including cab/sheet metal, fiberglass, welding, frame alignment, and painting.
• Identify parts required for repair of disassembled units.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Road test vehicles when necessary and drive to test sites.
• Work with minimal supervision and complete tasks timely.
• Assist with other projects as directed by supervisor.
