Job summary

Cross Creek Nursery is seeking a TAP Manager to lead the Tropical, Annual and Perennial departments, ensuring plants are healthy, well-merchandised, and customers have the best possible experience.

You will train staff, oversee a fast-paced seasonal team, set goals, develop efficient systems, and collaborate with buyers to manage orders and inventory, with weekend shifts required.

Qualifications

• Horticulture experience or plant knowledge preferred.
• Ability to lead a fast-paced, seasonal team.
• Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills.

• Overseeing care and maintenance of Annual, Tropical, and Perennial departments

What You'll Do As our Tropical, Annual and Perennial (TAP) Manager

You'll be responsible for leading the team and operations behind one of our most active departments. You'll direct a fast-paced, seasonally driven crew, keep plants healthy and beautifully merchandised, and make sure every customer who walks through gets the best experience possible.

Your responsibilities will include

• Assisting customers with any and all plant questions or needs
• Overseeing the care and maintenance of the Annual, Tropical, and Perennial departments
• Merchandising material to enhance the customer experience
• Training new staff and continuing the education of tenured team members
• Managing, tasking, and leading the TAP team
• Developing systems to keep the department running efficiently and effectively
• Setting daily and long-term goals for the department and its team members
• Developing and utilizing a spray program to maintain the highest quality across all plants
• Overseeing interdepartmental transfers and processing incoming/outgoing orders
• Communicating with buyers to address needs, voids, and incoming orders
• Maintaining and troubleshooting inventory issues
