Job summary

American Leather Operations LLC in Conover, NC seeks an Upholstery Trimmer to assemble and repair fabric on furniture frames, aligning fabric and applying covers with hand and power tools. You will work from a trimming department with a focus on quality and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of furniture trimming experience, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to stand for long shifts. Overtime may be required, with strong emphasis on quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of furniture trimming experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to deliver uncompromising quality and detailed craftsmanship.
• Must be flexible to work overtime when required.
• Able to stand for 10 hours.
• Able to use hand tools/air tools/staple gun for 10 hours.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Upholstery Trimmer makes, repairs, or replaces outside work.
• Trimmers fit, install, and secure fabric on wooden frames using hand tools, power tools.
• Aligning parts / fabric to ensure proper assembly and quality levels.
• Applying fabric/poly to furniture frames by means of hand tools.
• Fixing own repairs while ensuring quality, efficiency, and production levels
• Using a computer/scan gun to scan work for production tracking.
• Maintaining tools in working condition
• All other duties as assigned.

Overtime may be required beyond the posted work schedule and may vary on a weekly basis.
