Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid Driver License required.
• BIA and/or CLEET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol Kaw Nation land, investigate, enforce, and cite or arrest violators under CFR, Tribal, State and Federal laws.
• Perform periodic inspections and patrols of buildings and property.
• Follow patrol checklist; inspect doors, windows, gates and report irregularities to Police Supervisor.
• Prepare complete and accurate reports with all facts.
• Report fires, thefts, or other dangers to supervisor.
• Record and report descriptions of persons, license plates, and vehicles of unauthorized persons.
• Maintain a shift log including weather and temperature.
• Testify in Tribal, Federal, and State courts when necessary.
• Serve court documents such as warrants, subpoenas, and civil papers.
• Respond to requests for assistance on tribal land.
• Provide back-up to Newkirk City Police and Kay County Sheriff's Department.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
