Job summary

The Tribal Juvenile Intake Officer at Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation will assess Tribal youth to determine if they need assistance under police protective custody (PPC), child in need of care (CINC), and disciplinary measures for Juvenile Offenders (JO). The role also leads the grant efforts to make the grant process work effectively and efficiently.

• Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.
• 2 years of related experience.

• Lead grant efforts to make the grant process work effectively and efficiently.

Role:

The Tribal Juvenile Intake Officer will conduct assessments of Tribal youth to determine if they need assistance under police protective custody (PPC), child in need of care (CINC), and disciplinary measures for Juvenile Offenders (JO). The Tribal Juvenile Intake Officer will work with juveniles who have committed a crime or have a drug substance abuse problem. This position also leads the overall grant efforts to make the grant process work effectively and efficiently. The Juvenile Intake Officer will be the Tribal Amber Alert Coordinator and ensure all personnel are trained on missing and endangered children and helping with the recovery of missing and endangered children.

Minimum Requirements:

• Driving: Valid Kansas driver's license free of occupational restrictions. Must be insurable with the Nation's insurance carrier.
• Experience: 2 years of related experience
