Job summary

National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Program Specialist for Native Affairs to support LWCF Tribal engagement, outreach, and partnership development with Tribes and Indigenous organizations. The role emphasizes technical assistance, data analysis, and program modernization in coordination with the Native Affairs Analyst.

The position is funded for up to 780 total hours and requires extensive experience in Native affairs and public administration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Tribal engagement, Native Affairs, Tribal consultation, conservation, recreation, public administration, grant programs, or related fields.
• BA/BS Degree in Native American Studies, Tribal Governance, Indigenous Studies, or related field with minimum 5 years of additional experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional support to the Native Affairs Analyst and LWCF Tribal and Indigenous Engagement Program.
• Assists with implementation of strategic initiatives related to Tribal engagement, outreach, partnership development, training, program modernization, and data analysis.
• Support implementation of LWCF Tribal and Indigenous Engagement initiatives, including guidance review and tool development.
• Assist with outreach, relationship-building, and educational activities with Tribes and Indigenous partners.
• Develop and deliver training materials, webinars, and resources for LWCF staff and partners.
• Support consultation-related activities including meeting coordination and documentation.
• Collect, organize, and analyze Tribal engagement data and prepare program summaries.
• Develop outreach materials and informational content supporting Tribal engagement.
