The ideal candidate has strong experience in complex litigation, is organized, detail-oriented, and able to coordinate with attorneys, clients, and outside parties to ensure efficient case progression.

Qualifications

• 5 years of complex litigation experience with emphasis on large case management, trial preparation, document production, discovery and trial exhibits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence with the court.
• Conduct legal research.
• Update and maintain docketing and filing as well as internal databases.
• Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation.
• Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation.
• Prepare for depositions and discovery requests; facilitate service of process and coordinating examinations before trial (EBT).
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs.
• Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics).
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes.
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices.
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
• Accurately track and record all related billable and non-billable time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare, organize, and file documents and correspondence with the court
• Conduct legal research
• Update and maintain docketing and filing as well as internal databases
• Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation
• Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation
• Prepare for depositions, including the preparation of discovery requests; facilitate service of process and coordinating examinations before trial (EBT)
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs
• Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, etc.)
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
• Assist between trial teams and internal/external third parties; conducts investigations; engage in on-line legal research; develop pleadings; prepare motions and other pertinent legal documents/forms for review by assigned attorney; assist in discovery
• Accurately and consistently track and record all related billable and non-billable time;
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years of complex litigation experience with an emphasis on large case management, trial preparation, document production, discovery and trial exhibits.
