Job summary
Worthington Steel in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across the facility, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operation of equipment.
The ideal candidate has PLC experience, reads ladder logic and programs HMIs, and can complete an electrical/PLC hands-on assessment. Strong problem-solving, safety, and welding/fabrication skills are required.
Qualifications
- Two years of manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints.
- Strong electrical and PLC background; ladder logic & HMIs.
- CPR and first aid training may be required.
- Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined space training.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC.
Responsibilities
- Complete mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
- Successfully troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
- Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.
- Perform advanced electricity in order to work in maintenance field safely.
- Other duties as assigned.
