Lewis Tree Service in Maryland hires a Trimmer to support utility vegetation management and tree trimming for power-line clearance. You’ll operate chainsaws and chippers, assist with job-site setup, and follow safety protocols while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months on tree crews as a Trimmer Trainee.
• Basic knowledge of tree species and pruning techniques.
• Ability to work at heights and use climbing gear or aerial lifts.
• Trimmer tech knowledge/certification (or ability to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license, CDL and medical certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Ground-level and aloft pruning, felling, and vegetation removal for clearance around power lines.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and similar equipment; lower limbs safely.
• Assist with job-site setup, rigging, traffic control, and cleanup.
• Support safety by spotting climbers and communicating hazards.
• Travel as needed for work, including overnight stays.
